Olivia Hoff


At age 14, Olivia stopped breathing in her sleep. Paramedics were summoned, but were not able to get a heartbeat en route to the hospital. After one hour in the emergency room, Olivia’s heart started beating, and she was placed on life support. After 10 days with no brain activity, she was removed from the machine and passed away on April 22, 2004. Diagnosis: Elongated QT Syndrome.
